Fiction: Banned Books is the sequel to Fiction, a Wordle-inspired one-vs-many game of deception. Players work together to guess the secret word chosen by the Lie-brarian, while carefully determining which of their hints are true and which are lies.
At the start of the game, the Lie-brarian selects a five-letter word drawn from passages of books that have historically been banned, burned, or censored. The Guessers’ objective is to deduce this word by making guesses and interpreting the clues provided. Every clue from the Lie-brarian contains exactly one lie—can the Guessers uncover the word before time runs out?
This edition introduces new asymmetric powers for both the Lie-brarian and the Guessers. Using these abilities strategically at key moments can tip the balance in your favor, adding an extra layer of cunning and strategy to the classic word-guessing gameplay.
